// Synopsis — Declassified //

Vietnam, 1968.
The jungle was keeping score.

During the height of the Vietnam war — a squad of American soldiers are pushed deep into territory that no unit has returned from intact. The official reports cites enemy action. The classified reports say something else entirely.

The jungle in this region has been cursed for centuries. Long before the French. Long before the Americans. An ancient malevolent force — rooted in indigenous witchcraft older than any modern nation — has claimed this ground as its own. It does not fight. It does not attack. It invites.

The Tet Offensive brought tens of thousands of dead to this ground in a matter of days. The entity fed on it. Grew stronger. And the soldiers who wandered into the wrong territory — the ones who heard the sounds that weren't artillery, who saw things moving between the trees that weren't men — they didn't come back. Or they came back wrong.

"We weren't losing men to the enemy. We were losing them to the jungle, and the jungle wasn't losing them — it was keeping them."

— Redacted field report,  January 1968

// Threat Assessment — Supernatural Elements //
01

The Jungle

The territory itself is cursed. Ancient ground soaked in centuries of blood long before American boots ever touched it. The jungle remembers everything.

02

The Witchcraft

Indigenous ritual older than the war. Older than the country. A malevolent force that does not distinguish between sides — only between the living and the dead.

03

The Tet Offensive

January 1968. The single bloodiest period of the Vietnam War. Tens of thousands dead in days. Something was feeding on it.

04

The Entity

It does not attack. It invites. Soldiers who wander into the wrong territory do not come back — or they come back wrong.

// Tone & Approach //
"Apocalypse Now meets The Witch.
Psychological. Cosmic. Brutal.
No easy victories. No clean deaths."

'NAM is not a war story with horror elements. It is a horror story set inside the most psychologically devastating conflict in American history — where the line between combat trauma and supernatural terror is deliberately, permanently blurred.
